The Ganjey

Introducing our Blue Mogganer 'Ganjey'—a new signature nod to the intricate local Ganseys of old, reimagined in seam-free knit for today's seafarer. In the dialect of our corner of Scotland, "Ganjey" was the word used for Gansey and our version evokes the hardy pullovers born from our old herring fleets, knitted by local fisherwomen to shield their loved ones from the storm's fury. This seamless pullover, features a chevron stitch symbolizing the relentless waves of the surrounding North Sea and the ebb and flow of the tide across the chest: a bold, intricate weave surrounded by grand anchor emblems, representing steadfast hope and unyielding resilience amid the crashing waves. Feel the pull of the tide in every cable and motif, where the anchors curves emerge like guardians from the foam, evoking safe harbor and tales told by hearthfire. 

Knitted in rustic and hardy British Breed wool with a light funnel neck, repelling chill while wrapping you in the heart of Scotland's maritime soul. Anchor your wardrobe with timeless strength—because in every knot lies a story of the sea.

Our knitwear can be dry cleaned, which is ultimately what we recommend.

If you prefer to wash at home, please hand wash only in cool to hand-warm water in a wool friendly detergent such as Woolite or Stergene (in the measurements specified on the bottle).

Dry flat and gently reshape whilst still damp.

Please note wool does not need to be washed as much, because it naturally resists odour, moisture and bacteria.
